Visa Needed?

UAE citizens are exempted from visa.

However, UAE residents are not  exempt from obtaining a visa. UAE residents must check their visa requirements according to their nationality. If your nationality is not visa-exempt, then a visa is required. You can check that here.

Are UAE Residents Eligible For Turkey E-Visa?

If you are not eligible for an e-visa, here’s a step-by-step process to help you navigate the Turkey traditional/ sticker visa application process:

The Turkey visa applications are accepted through Gateway International. Below is the process for applying:

1. Gather Required Documents

Keep all required documents mentioned below along with the documents checklist (download here).

2. Schedule Your Appointment

To start your application process, first create an account on the Gateway International website by clicking on 'Schedule Your Appointment' button in this page. Then schedule an appointment by entering all necessary details like name, passport details, address, date of appointment, and select the nearest office for your appointment.

  • Applicants with residence visa issued by the Emirates of Dubai / Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Umm Al-Quwain/ Fujairah would need to submit their applications at the Visa Application Centre in Dubai

  • Applicants with residence visa issued by Al Ain and Abu Dhabi will have to submit their application at the Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi


Applicants can apply maximum 60 days in advance for Türkiye Visa.

3. Visit the Centre and Make Payment

You should appear, along with necessary documents, at the Visa Application Center on your appointment day, 15 minutes before appointment time scheduled by you. The visa fees must be paid in cash or card at the Visa Application Centre at the time of application submission.

Required Documents for Turkish Sticker/Stamp Visa

The table below outlines the required documents for a Turkish Sticker Visa application. 

Original Passport
The original passport should be issued less than 10 years with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond the intended duration of stay in Turkish territory from date of arrival in Türkiye, and with at least two full visa blank pages.
 Dual Citizenship Documents, If Any

If he/she is a dual citizen, the relevant documents

Old Passport & Visa

Copies of current and old passports, Türkiye and any other countries visa and residence permit (valid & expired)

Original & Copy of Emirates ID and Emirates Residence Visa

with at least 6 months validity from date of visa application (All previous UAE visa copies are mandatory). Important note: In case UAE visa is issued by previous passport number, it is must to submit old passport also.

 Photos

1 biometric photos (with a white background, taken in the last 6 months, depicting the full face including ears with the face clearly visible, in 5×6 size). It is to be taken without headgear, hat/cap and spectacles.

Flight Tickets

Round trip flight reservation (highly recommended not to confirm flight ticket before the visa is issued)

 Hotel Reservations

Hotel reservation (highly recommended not to confirm before the visa is issued)

Invitation (Family/Friend Visit)

In the case of an invitation from a person in Türkiye: (Family/Friend Visit), notarized invitation from the inviter (reason of invitation and duration of stay, a guarantee that person will return at the end of travel and contact information must be presented). Note: The invitation shouldn’t be older than 1 month.
Turkish ID card if the invitor is Turkish citizen or valid resident permit if the inviter is non-Turkish citizen.

Personal Bank Statement

Personal bank account statement for the updated 3 months, must be original (wet) stamped.
Last transaction should not be older than 10 days.
Please note that it is a must to submit your bank account with a sufficient amount for your travel.
Important Note: Online bank statement is not acceptable. Salary bank statement is mandatory. If you wish, you may submit personal (saving) account only as a supportive document.
Proof of Accommodation in UAE: If any tenancy contract or title deed. If it is shared accommodation, a letter indicating the situation.
If any, bank account summaries of a bank in Türkiye or documents related to the properties in Türkiye.

If Applicant Is Company Owner

No objection certificate in the company letter head mentioning position, exact purpose, travel dates, guarantee the applicant will return to UAE and financial undertaking with original (wet) signed and stamped. (It has to be addressed to Embassy of Türkiye in Abu Dhabi or Turkish Consulate General in Dubai.)

The company’s certificate of establishment and registration, the company’s valid trade license.
Company’s bank account statement showing the transactions for the updated 3 months, must be original (wet) stamped. Important Note: Online bank statement is not acceptable.

If Applicant Is Employee

No objection certificate from the related company with original (wet) signed and stamped. (Company official letter must indicate the position of the applicant, start date of employment, the dates that has vacation approved from work, salary details and should guarantee that the employee will return to UAE and workplace after travel) (It has to be addressed to Embassy of Türkiye in Abu Dhabi or Turkish Consulate General in Dubai.)
Payrolls for the last 3 months if the salary is not mentioned in the no objection certificate.

If Applicant’s UAE Residency Sponsor Is A Person (Spouse, Parent, Employer etc.)
  • No objection letter from sponsor (original wet signed) and copy of the passport and UAE residence visa of the sponsor.
  • Marriage certificate, if sponsor is spouse.
  • Sponsor’s personal bank account with above mentioned criteria.
  • Sponsor’s salary certificate, if sponsor is employee.
  • Sponsor’s trade license, if sponsor is company owner.
  • Notarized NOC if the sponsor is outside the country.
If the Applicant Is Under 18
  • No objection letter from both parents
  • An identity document or birth certificate
  • Passport and UAE residence permit visa copies of both parents
  • Divorce decision which shows the child custody if the parents are divorced
  • Death certificated of the parent if one parent is dead
  • Consent Letter if one of the parents is not travelling with the child
  • Notarized NOC if either of the parent is outside the country

Additional Documentation Requirements

  • Address Proof: Provide a registered/notarised rental agreement or a company letter for remote workers. Additional documents like Voter ID Cards, utility bills, or PCC might be required based on the visa type.
  • Minors: If traveling with both parents, a notarised consent letter from both is mandatory. For single-parent households due to death or divorce, relevant legal documents are necessary.
  • Travel with Visa Holder: If accompanying a family member or friend with a valid Turkish visa, provide copies of their visa and passport.
  • Non-Indian Passport Holders: Individuals holding non-Indian passports but residing in India can apply for a Turkish visa. However, a valid Indian visa or residency/work permit is required. Processing times may be longer.
  • If Spouse’s Name is not Present in Passport: If the spouse’s name is absent from the passport, submit a marriage certificate attested by a Notary Public or a recent notarised affidavit along with wedding documentation.
  • Sponsorship: If sponsored, provide the sponsor’s passport copy, employment proof, and a sponsorship letter. Additional documents might be required to verify the relationship between the sponsor and applicant.
